About Ham Weather

Ham Weather is an education-first dashboard that helps amateur radio operators interpret real-world space weather data and apply it to operating decisions.

What we do

  • Pull authoritative space weather products (primarily NOAA SWPC).
  • Cache data server-side for speed and resilience.
  • Explain what each metric means for real operations (HF, VHF, satellites, aurora, absorption).

What we don’t claim

  • No single number predicts “the bands” for every path.
  • Forecasts contain uncertainty; confirm on-air and cross-check sources.
  • This site is not an official government service or alerting authority.

Data and attribution

Where possible, Ham Weather links directly to source products and keeps a Sources page inside the dashboard. If you see a source that should be credited differently, let us know.
