This site reads a handful of SWPC public feeds (JSON/text/images) and caches results locally to reduce load and keep the dashboard responsive.
Sunspot numbers (optional, historical)
If we later add long-term sunspot charts, a canonical source is WDC‑SILSO (Royal Observatory of Belgium). Their data is freely downloadable with explicit credit.
